The gist of every iPhone commercial.
Once upon a time I had a first-world problem, luckily I had a first-world product that increases my dependancy on technology, removes my need to consult other humans and deepens my handicap of extreme-laziness. My friends were thoroughly impressed.

It’s pretty awesome when @neogia says “I’m one of the luckier geeks in Boulder, I get to work with girls.”

Innovation →
Scott Berkun on banning the i-word:
Einstein, Ford, Picasso and Edison rarely said the word innovation and neither should you.
Because:
Ask people who say innovation what they mean. If ever anyone says the word in a meeting, ask “Can you give an example of what you mean by innovative?” If they can’t, you’ve just saved everyone in the room hours of time. Using the i-word is often a cop-out for clear thinking. They are trying to signify creativity, without actually being creative.
A-men.

Now testing: Pages
You can now add static pages to your blog, with a few very useful options. Head to your blog’s Customize page and click the “Pages” menu to get started. There are currently three types of Pages you can create:
- Standard Layout. Create a simple page with a title and body using your current theme.
- Custom Layout. Create a page with a completely separate layout.
- Redirect. Forward a route to a page on another domain. Useful for maintaining links when moving your domain name over to Tumblr.
Developers: Check out the Theme Docs for instructions on implementing the new
{block:Pages}tag. -

It’s funny because it’s true. So true.

The iPod touch. It’s that misfit cousin in the Apple family. Apple didn’t know how to market it. Pundits didn’t know why they were selling it. It was derided for being a cheaper, less-capable iPhone. Yet, despite this, Apple has sold a whopping 32 million of these little devices, and stats suggest it may actually outsell the iPhone in 2010! However, the iPod touch has more unexpected magic up it’s sleeves.
–Truth. If Apple can make these things create a high-pitched noise that can paralyze a human for 15 minutes, like those fucked up little toys in Iron Man, they could take over the world.

Wow. Blatant rip off.
I mean, where to start.
1. The new version of Microsoft Visio - which, in case you’re not cursed with a sucky office job, is a very popular diagramming app - includes a rip-off of Panic’s Transmit truck.
2. They didn’t just copy the icon, of course - they first ran it through the world’s worst autotracer (check out that front grill!)
3. All the other icons in the app are of this “quality”.
4. Visio also includes a groundbreaking feedback feature called Send-A-Smile/Send-A-Frown. It is of similar quality as well.

I could try and get more legitimate mural work, but scaling a drainpipe is still probably a lot easier than getting an original idea past a committee.
