Hi. I'm Matt. This has been a place of regurgitation and frivolity (don't fret, it will continue to be) but, with any luck and a titch of effort, it will also become a place where I think, document and be more me than it has been previously. Run on sentence much?
I’d like to preface this little post by saying that I think that the color of this BMW M3 is unimpressive at best.
I’d like to continue this post by saying, “Shut up.” - People of all sorts, I say, “Shut up.” - with all due respect, mainly because no respect is due.
I like these companies lately, mostly car companies, that seem to be bringing high-caliber items to market with certain restrictions. The Bugatti Veyron can only be driven in certain conditions, at certain times and demands (yes, Bugatti will shut off your car if you don’t comply) a rigorous maintenance schedule.
Here’s the thing… When did consumers take away the right for a business to run itself in the way it want? Why is it so wrong? If I have the money and the absolute (first world) need for this damn BMW, no other will do, then it looks like I’m going to have to sign the papers to take care of it. If I just can’t comply… then screw me, I can take a different M3. It’s up to BMW.
People are forming lawsuits against AT&T and Apple… why, yes because of the antenna.. but also because they feel that the contractual bond between the companies isn’t fair. Seriously? Get over yourselves. You’re going to put all that money and effort into a lawsuit instead of switching to AT&T or .. *gasp* getting a new phone? You’re insane.
Maybe it’s Pat’s Cheesesteaks in Philly that set me on this path when I was young. Get in line, wait, order correctly.. OR START OVER, end of the line. It’s not just kitsch. In their case, it’s because the line is always so long and needs to move at such a quick pace that they operate by rules.
But we hate rules as a people. We can’t stand rules… not when they make what we want less possible. But that’s stupid. We’re all lazy, over-priveledge wankers.
I’m old an crotchety today.. but all of this frustrates me.
